Message from Owner

Our sweet girl escaped from the hse Monday (8/18) night. Her collar was found on the walking trail behind Adeline's Farm neighborhood (runs between Pourroy Rd and Washington St.). She is very friendly and sweet but is likely scared and skittish. Please contact us even if you see her and can't reach her.

General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Put something with his scent on it and put it on the on the porch. Walk your neighborhood and call him, do it again as late as possible (they suggest 3 am). He won’t come out right away, even when he hears you, he will only come out of hiding when he feels it’s safe. They’re usually only 3-5 houses away hunkered down somewhere. Leave your garage door or another door or window open enough for him to get in during the night. 🙏https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I

Leslie Austin does she have a way back in on her own? crack open the garage so she has a place to return when ready also to hide from predators. hurt/scared kittes w/hide even from owners. at night, use a flashlight to search small dark hiding places. while she may not answer, the light w/reflect off her eyes. indoor onlys rarely go far and w/usually hide nearby
