It’s a Monk, also called a Quaker Parrot. Most of the wild colonies are on the coast line of CT, but have been seen as far north as Hartford, but northern area is expanding. Occasionally, due to a bad storm, they will get caught up in it and end up in more northern areas. When western CT had those microbursts years ago in May, I had one in my backyard hanging out with the Mourning Doves. Hope this one is ok. Years ago, a shipment escaped from JFK, and they set up colonies along the shore areas. They adapted to the weather and the nests can be large and heavy containing a colony of them.

Janet Platt Me, too. If it was a wild bird I don't know if it would be easy to capture, so who knows.
