When my boy went missing, my Vet encouraged me to create a scent trail for him to find his way back home. He said to put out my cats’ favorite toy, bedding, litter box, cleaned out or not, all preferably in a fenced yard or in the garage with the door up just enough for Kitty to get in. He also said to put a used pillowcase of the owner out along with a pair of the owners old shoes. He said he is hiding out and sleeping during the day. Cats are nocturnal so he will be out after darkness. My boy came home at 3:30 am.
