Message from Owner

UPDATE – LOST HALF-MOON CONURE – $200 REWARD Tomas, our beloved 11-year-old Half-Moon Conure, unexpectedly flew from our home in the 20602 area on September 28. UPDATE: Tomas was seen and heard yesterday evening (9/28) in trees in the Carrington Neighborhood. We were able to visually locate him, but he became startled and flew closer toward our home. We heard him again near our home shortly before dark. This morning (9/29), we heard Tomas calling again in the same general area, confirming that he made it through the night and was still nearby. However, we have not heard or seen him since 7am this morning. Description: Tomas is a green Half-Moon Conure and blue coloring on his wings and tail and orange above his beak. He has a registered identification band on his leg. Tomas is social and may approach or land on someone. He may respond to “Tomas,” familiar voices, the sound of a treat bag, or conure calls. PLEASE DO NOT CHASE HIM. If you see or hear Tomas, please note the exact location and direction, take a photo or video if possible, and contact us immediately. Even hearing his distinctive call could help us locate him. His cage is outside at home with his food, water, and favorite treats in hopes that he will return. $200 REWARD IF FOUND AND SAFELY RETURNED. Please share, especially with anyone in or around 20602/Waldorf. We miss Tomas terribly and just want him home safely.
