🚨 LOST DOG – WHAT TO DO IMMEDIATELY TO HELP BRING YOUR DOG HOME 🚨 If your dog is missing, follow these critical steps right away: 🏠 Bring Them Home with Scent and Access • Hang dirty laundry (T-shirts, socks, shoes) high on a fence or branch to allow the wind to carry the scent—use items worn by the person your dog is most bonded with. • Dogs can smell home from miles away—your scent can guide them back. • Leave an access point open such as a cracked garage or front door in case they return. • Sleep near the front door if possible—your presence may help them feel safe enough to come back. • If you have other pets, keep them secured in a separate room. 📣 Post large Signs & Notify Everyone • Make signs with a clear photo and your contact info. • Put signs everywhere—on poles, street corners, and especially on doorsteps in the neighborhood. • Ask neighbors to check security cameras (e.g., Ring) for sightings. 🌐 Spread the Word Online • Post on local: • Lost & Found Facebook groups • Nextdoor • PawBoost • Ring Neighbors app • Include your contact info, dog’s name, and location last seen. 🐶 Microchip & Shelter Alerts • If your dog is microchipped, notify the chip company immediately and mark your pet as lost. • Call ALL nearby (even 1-2 hours away) animal shelters and rescues, and leave a detailed voicemail if no one answers. Check where he was lost at knock on doors and ask them if they've seen him and asked to check for them to check their cameras everybody has cameras there must be something on one of them. Also put it on next door.com that's the neighborhood for that area if you don't live there find somebody who can put it on there next door but if I was you I'd travel around in your car and look for him. Check all the shelters you have to check them every single day they have a website but you need to go and look for him there that's a must because the only keep them so long and also check any unhoused encampments around if there's any up to you to do that and keep posting on here till you find him he's a big dog he's got to be somewhere he's in someone's backyard or something but the cameras and the people around there must have something on the camera wherever he was lost at
