Indian River Rd. is a very long road what is a cross street? Please file a missing cat report with Virginia Beach animal care. If the cat is chipped, make sure that the registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight, walk around your yard quietly, calling your cats name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors. Ask them to call you if they see your cat. I also asked them if they’ve been in their shed, outbuilding or garage since the cat went missing. Cats will go in those places to hide and when the owner closes the door, the cat cannot get out. You cannot hear cat crying to get out of the shed or structure unless you’re standing right beside it. Look under decks, porches, and any structure with an open crawlspace. Cats can be gone for weeks or months, usually it’s when someone in the neighborhood thinks the cat is a stray. Don’t lose hope. If the tag that’s on the cat is a rabies tag if so, if someone finds your cat, gets the tag number from the rabies that list of vets name and can call the vet to find out who the owner is.
