Message from Owner

Grit broke out of the fence chasing something this morning with two of my other dogs but the other two have since returned. We are housesitting so he’s not familiar with the area unfortunately. He should (hopefully) have a bandage on his paw from a previous injury still.

Be sure to file a lost report with animal control. Go in person to see if your dog has been turned in yet, do the same thing at all local shelters, go in person, no phone calls, you can confuse dogs and you don’t know somebody on the other end is really doing what you’re asking. They’re very busy. Be sure to put details on where the dog was last seen, any street names or cross streets, city and state etc. and file on as many Lost and Found pages to your particular area in North Carolina as possible, not the entire state or include that as well which might be this one. Best of luck, sure hope you find your pup! 🙏🏻♥️

To parents of lost pets: Beware of scammers who will comment with links for "lost" pets services. (Including Drone services) And they will CALL or MESSAGE you also. Do not fall for their scams. Also, they call using what seems like legit shelter number saying pet needs surgery/help. Hang up and call shelter directly.
