They don't travel far unless they like to jump into cars unseen. My grandkids' cat from Springfield was found in the McKenzie area and the finder saw our newspaper ad. I saw a cat with a collar near the Mohawk exit. His owners were clear up Fall Creek! He had jumped in a car and ended up in the shopping center at Mohawk and he crossed under the overpass at the exit and joined a cat colony living under the blackberries.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, in garages, under vehicles and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

You may have already, but post on Eugene and Springfield lost and found pets fb page, . Mention location, cross streets. Also Next Door for non FB folks, go online and file report with Greenhill Humane Society. I found my girl knocking on neighbors doors. 🐾🙏🏻🐈‍⬛

Darling cat. Is she spayed? Post her on Greenhill lost and found web site and Next Door site. Check Community Cat Coalition web site how to find lost indoor cat. Quality playtime with you and wand toys alleviates boredom and gets her exercised (running, jumping, chasing "prey"). Cat tree by window is good to watch world go by. Best wishes. Keep us posted.

Jessica Dawn Cats usually don't travel very far—-maybe a block or two. They hide under homes or sheds during the day time. Go outside with a flashlight, especially at night and look under porches, house, sheds and nearby bushes. Think like a cat— look low, under shrubs, behind wood piles, and look for their eyes to glow in the light of a flashlight beam. Put their bedding outside the door they escaped from or some of the owner's dirty clothing. Do not put out litter box as they could attract other animals that may scare off your cat. Usually they will hide during the day and come out at night when it's quiet and safe. Leave the door or window they escaped from open and they will usually sneak back in. Leaving a trail of chicken broth or tuna juice from the yard back to the door helps too. Put flyers up within a two block radius. Ask neighbors to check in sheds and under porches.
