Please file a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal control. If the cat is chipped to make sure that the registry has your current contact information. Check the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM, go out of your yard with a bag of kitty treats and flashlight, walk around your yard quietly, calling your cat name and shaking the kitty treats bag, look at the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take around your neighbors, asking them to call you if they see your cat, also ask them if they’ve been in their shed outbuilding or a garage since your cat went missing, cats hiding those places and then when the doors closed, they cannot get out. You cannot hear a cat crying to get out of a structure unless you’re standing right next to it. Look under decks, porches, and any structure with an open crawlspace.
