I keep a collar on mine with tags and is chipped but most people don't know there's a chip unless they are caught which is rarely! Mine never got out. I'm very aware of where they are if a door opens and so were my kids! We are hearing this a lot lately. Animals escaping gates and doors. Take precautions and get collars and tags on and don't open doors until you know where your animals are!
