- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Hoping you find this puss😕❤️ Go out looking for her/him at night when it’s quiet. Call and listen! for them to call back. Go down laneways etc too - they could be trapped in a garage, injured & hiding, scared… Knock on doors & talk to people on the street - they may know of her/him - someone may have taken them in. Post on All Neighbourhood social media sites. Put up posters - drop as flyers in mailboxes. File a LOST report with Toronto/other Animal Services in case they end up there - continue to check their listings! Continue to call - they won’t necessarily call you. Also, check their ‘deceased animals’ listings 🥲 ⭐️⭐️Consider setting a well-monitored live trap in your yard. He may be too scared to come out but may be able to be trapped.⭐️⭐️ You may catch other critters that will need to be released. Keep looking! Don’t give up on her/him .🥰

Shared. Note that TWO days is a long time to a cat, this is MUCVH longer If you have not yet done ALL these things, do them now. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Markham Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies in garages, sheds, basement etc. IF he's an intact male he may have chased females in heat and have trouble finding his way back home.. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for him. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

Not sure if this will help, but you could try.. Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna can 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vaccumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the🐈 cat. 10 houses to the ⬅️ left 10 house🏡 to the right➡️ front ⬆️ and back⬇️ if they spot him to give you a call ☎️ immediately. Also, you can put up a Sign post 🪧with your 🐱📷 picture. In front of your 🏡lawn and to call you or contact you ASAP. Go early ⏰️ in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Would be wise for you to inspect their garages,Sheds,back yards 📣 Calling the 🐱 name.In case it is scared.. Also, you can install a camera / Baby monitor 📹 to monitor and see & hear if the cat is around your house 🏡. You can even ask your Local Pet 🐱 Animal Shelter to Rent out a Safe Trap and monitor it.. Post your ad on your phone 📲 app NEXTDOOR, & PAWBOOST too ! Check your Local Human Society..
