our cat Mateo is missing. he is a orange & blonde long hair mainecoon cat with a long body & stumpy legs. VERY timid, severe anxiety & likely to run/dart and hide. We have no idea how he would escape, he is so easily timid we truly have no clue how he would manage to get out of the hse let alone have the courage to leave the property. He has not been seen to come out & eat for 2 days now, he has times where he shifts & we see him less but we have turned the hse upside & still no sign of him at all. he is chipped & registered to me, please reach out with any leads! last seen at home in the upper Spruce Street area by Elliots hosp. Thanks in advance.

Put your clothes outside as a scent. Have neighbors check cellars sheds garages and vehicles. They get trapped. Look under porches and sheds etc. Have a Heart trap with tuna. Cover trap with blanket and watch trap. Look at night often with flashlight. Check attics drawers and in trees 🌲. Culverts. Flyers everywhere. Check town authorities and vets. Look at lost and found pet sites shelters in case brought in. Craigslist too. Get kids you know to help look. Check behind walls and insulation. Abandoned buildings. Leave the door open for cat or window.

I just messaged you I went to the area to look but unfortunately I was not able to find him or see any signs of him I am gonna go back again tonight I was able to speak to the homeowners at 172 so thankfully I have their permission to look on their property this evening when traffic is less and it's a little bit quieter maybe he will come back out. He is so timid and scared of everything though I'm sad I didn't see this as soon as it was commented😢
