Message from Owner

I have a small dog, about 2 years old, a mix chihuabueno, who is missing tonight. His name is Maverick. Me and my wife left him in the yard, gates were closed, no exit through the fence for him. About 8 PM this evening we went to Walmart. When we returned, he was not on the property. We checked with a few neighbors to see if they had seen him or if their cameras saw anything. I also called the police and will check with the humane society in the morning. He does have an implant chip. I am including a few photos of him with this post. If you have seen or found him, please message me,

Iveth Mymoments coyotes are frequently spotted in this area Increased coyote sightings in San Diego. The intersection of Hartley Drive and 47th Street (which sits on the border of the Emerald Hills and Valencia Park neighborhoods) is heavily surrounded by canyons, making it a natural habitat for local coyote population. An enclosed patio won't protect him, unless it's enclosed on all sides & top. Coyotes can easily jump 6-8ft fences/walls and climb 14ft high chain link fences.

Kristineh Esmailian Thanks for your good wishes. By the way, yesterday you mentioned that Maverick was at the San Diego shelter, but I went there and it wasn't true; you deleted the comment afterwards.

Iveth Mymoments I know you think that but the coyotes are everywhere. They are super smart and stalk and wait for pets and when they least expect it, they attack. I pray you find your baby🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🐶🐶💔😢

Kristineh Esmailian Our área does not seem like a place for coyotes. Our neighbors with street cams checked during the time we were away but didn’t see anything like that, plus Maverick could go inside our enclosed patio for safety

You should never leave your dog unattended in the front yard especially a small dog and at night. Coyotes will take your dog and it. Believe! I will pray that your poor baby is found. 😢🙏
