He is without any collar. We found his collar in wooded between Gerard Stand East Center St, Manchester CT. His name is Daniel. He is a 4 yr old half gray/brownish tiger with black stripes; white paws and white under belly; neutered and microchipped. he is long and last weighed about 10 pounds, He is a friendly male microchipped, neutered male cat. He has medical issues. He is without any collar. We found his collar in wooded between Gerard Stand East Center St, Manchester CT. Please do not chase, he is timid in new places. He is not an outdoor cat. his sister is not taking his absence too well. any help to reunite our fur babies would be greatly appreciated. please contact Victoriana Reyes @ cell REWARD FOR HIS SAFE RETURN HOME!

There was a grey tabby that had got hit by a car last week in front of the cemetery on E center st. There were people there and I didn’t stop but I saw it clearly. I didn’t notice a post about it either but on my way back from a delivery, the people and cat were gone.

Put dirty laundry or the contents of your vacuum cleaner outside near your door. If you can, leave open the door or window he got out as he might dart right back in. Mine did. Indoor cats usually stay very close to home, they are frightened outside and will likely hide under a deck or in bushes nearby. After dark go out with a flashlight and see if you can catch the glimmer of his eye. Put flyers up in your neighborhood and hand them to your mail carrier and other delivery people. Also check with neighbors to see if he has inadvertently been trapped in a shed or garage. Leave out water so he won’t wander looking for it. Others have suggested leaving out stinky food, such as of tuna. And/or shake a bag of treats.

I thought Daniel was coming to my porch but that cat had a collar on. It's hard to tell the cats apart when they only come at night I'm still keeping an eye out

Drag scent trails… He may be hiding under a porch, a shed, or a car, behind bushes, or in a wooded area. Go out late at night with a flashlight that might reflect against his eyes, and call him gently. Or shake a bag of treats, sometimes better than your voice to attract a cat that’s scared. Create scent trails on the grass and ground leading up to your home (or to a trap, ideally monitored with a trail cam, so you can respond quickly when the cat is in the trap). Get a towel and rub it with your dirty laundry, blankets, socks, or anything else with the scent of home. (Do not use kitty litter.) Tie a rope to the towel and drag it from the areas where you think the cat might be, creating scent trails leading to your house (or the trap). You won’t smell the scent on the towel or the ground, but the cat will. (If you use a trap, load it with a little cat food, chicken or tuna, enough to attract the cat from the trail that leads up to it. Rely on the scent trails to get your cat to the trap.) Rain and snow will wash away the scent trails, so you’ll have to drag again afterwards. Also, renew the trails every couple days. Try to remain patient and hopeful. Some cats only show up after many days or even weeks. Important: . Never leave a trap unattended, always keep an eye on it, checking it every 1/2 hour in person or with a trail cam. Position the trap close to where the cat escaped or was last seen. . Trail cam photos and videos are marked with time stamps, helpful to know if and when the cat shows up but doesn’t go into the trap. . Post flyers in the area with a picture of your cat and your contact information. . Even if you don’t have a trap or a trail cam, scent trails leading to your home can work.
