Message from Owner

❤️ PLEASE HELP US FIND OUR GIRL ❤️ Our very small Maine Coon has been missing, and we are becoming increasingly worried. She has been part of our family for 16 years, and it is extremely unusual for her to be outside or away from home. She is not an outdoor cat and most likely became frightened and ran off because of the ongoing fiber installation in our neighborhood. She is incredibly sweet but very scared and is not likely to come running up to strangers. She has a distinctive raspy meow that almost sounds like a kitten. She is also notorious for hiding when she is frightened. 🙏 Please check under decks, around egress windows, underneath sheds, inside bushes, along fences, and in any small, quiet corners where she could be hiding. She may be much closer than you think. We have cameras around our property and have not seen any movement, which makes us believe she may still be hiding nearby. At this point, she is likely hungry and thirsty, and with the weather getting colder, we are becoming even more concerned about her. If you see her, even if she runs away, please let us know where you saw her. If you have cat food, treats, or anything you can gently shake to get her attention, that may help. She is an older girl who has spent her entire life inside with us. She isn’t used to being outside, and we are scared that she is frightened and doesn’t know how to get home. After 16 years together, she is family, and we just want to get her safely back home. Please keep an eye out, share this, and check around your property. Even a small sighting could make all the difference. ❤️

I just fail to see how you might think that's beneficial to post here. Do you think the poster would not be aware of the wildlife in the area? They're asking for help looking for their pet. Not help drumming up worse case scenarios.

Sam Hubbard you mean reality of living out here! You can't find your cat... most likely a coyote or an owl snatched it!

Sharon Tobert that's the least helpful thing I've ever seen on a post for someone looking for a lost pet.

There are coyotes out here... Just saying. Cats that go outside are at risk for a coyote or even an owl to snatched them up. I know my cat goes outside off and on. I feel blessed when he comes back home.
