Message from Owner

Our sweet cat escaped and has never been outdoors before. She is strictly indoor-only, so she is likely terrified and hiding very close to home. If you live in the area, please kindly check under your decks, porches, balconies, and inside sheds or garages. If you spot her, please do not chase or try to catch her—just reach out with the location. We miss her dearly and want to bring her home safely. Thank you so much for your help and vigilance!

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, in garages, under vehicles and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Lisa Barakett I looked at the SPCA Lost and Found Animals website and Dorval is not listed as a minicipality/borough served by the Montreal SPCA. The SPCA Ouest de L'Ile doesn't seem to have a Lost and Found service. I sent an email instead, I hope they'll share the post. Thank you for the advice.

Open a Lost Cat Report with the SPCA via spca.com Her photo will then be posted on the SPCA site. Save her soiled cat litter box. Sprinkle some of her soiled litter on the side of your stairs, and on the earth of the shrubs that you share with immediate neighbors. You can also put some on aluminum foil sheets , cup them and place in the bushes on your property. Save some soiled litter to repeat this tip should it rain. the familiar scent will attract her. Follow up daily with Proanima as well. If she has a microchip, notify the microchip company.
