Kathy posted great chips they do work. I would also say go out at night and also early a.m. hours when it’s right before light and it’s still quiet maybe have some smelly treats with you tuna fish something like that. Call softly and keep doing it because it might take a while also keep something of yours or theirs. That’s dirty out for scent hopefully that helps guide them home or keep them nearby. shared🙏🏻

Please file a missing cat report with the Norfolk Animal Care Center. Since the cat is chipped, make sure the registry has your current contact information. Check the shelter several times a week Tonight after 10 PM, go out of your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight and walk around calling your cat’s name softly, look in the bushes with your flashlight to see if you see your cat. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors asking them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they’ve been in their shed outbuilding our garage since the cat went missing. Cats go in those places to hide and feel safe. When the door is closed, the cat cannot get out and you cannot hear a cat crying unless you’re standing right next to the structure. Indoor cats rarely stray more than 5 to 7 houses from their own. Cats will stray and be gone for months or weeks. If they are taken in by a friendly neighborhood, who thinks it’s a stray then it takes a while for the cat to get back to you.
