Message from Owner

My fur-baby Louise has been missing for a while now. She managed to escape her cat leash/harness near Target in Normal, Illinois, while she was going to the bathroom. We’re all missing her terribly, especially her sister. We’ve been crying for her. She’s such a special and loved fur baby!! She even made it onto a calendar back in 2025, the sales of those calendars help provide food and things needed for rescued animals!! She’s a bit of a handful, but she’s gentle with women. She knows her commands: stay, down, gentle, no, and wait (she’s even sat at our door with door wide open, and didn’t step outside). But we raised her to have freedom, so as soon as she doesn’t want to be held, we put her down and never trap her—Dad is the only one she’ll let hold her like that. They run and hide when others come to our home, so we always knew just before someone came to the door. She’s sweet with manners, gives Momma love when I’m sad or crying, and doesn’t leave my side when Dad’s gone (or constantly checks on me). She’s a jumper, adventurous, protective mini lioness 🦁 who protects her sister (she even ripped our door screen down when she chased an outdoor cat too close to her sister). She loves catching bugs (moths, flies, grasshoppers, etc.). She even copied a squirrel from TV and does a little thing with her mouth like a squirrel 🤭 VERY SMART probably because I’ve always talked to her like a person/treated her like my daughter. She loves when her Leo Mom would look out the window with her. We would watch the perimeter together, and she would signal to me where things I couldn’t see or hear were. She’s used to being inside and NEVER ALONE. She’s always been with her sister. We put a trail of food leading back to us and slept in the location we lost her for days while also calling for her for over a week. We think someone may have found her because there haven’t been any cats hit by vehicles (we checked all the main roads). If found, please call her family. We miss her so much! Mom, Dad, and Sister!
