Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat. Also, most indoor cats take 10-14 days to feel comfortable coming out of hiding. Don't give up. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/intersection-alerts/ Also, I used https://www.professionalpettrackers.com/

Ask neighbors to check sheds, crawl spaces, garages, under decks, bushes, and anywhere else he could be trapped or hiding. Put up flyers, post on NextDoor, and notify and visit animal control. Best of luck!

Leave open a garage door, sliding patio door, window, etc. Cats will often hide during the day and move under the cover of darkness and sneak back into the house. Several cats have returned to their owners this way recently. It is effective. Also, keep walking your neighborhood, they usually don’t go very far but can be scared and hiding. Check under decks, bushes, or just sit quietly for hours to see if you see or hear your cat. See if any neighbors have Ring/doorbell cameras or other cameras and ask them to check their footage to see if they see your cat. Also think about setting a humane trap. A lot of shelters or animal rescue groups have them to loan. Cover the trap with a blanket or something so it doesn’t look like a trap. Bait the trap with a food your cat loves. You have to constantly check the trap though. You might catch a wild animal and that is super stressful for the animal (just release it asap), plus, depending on the weather, extreme cold or heat, it can be dangerous. But if you can check a trap every hour or put a camera on it, it is a good way to catch your cat. You may have to camouflage the trap a bit with a blanket or tree branches. Traps can look scary.
