Small tortoise shell cat, shy

Message from Owner

My family was out of town during the foster city fire and unfortunately my cats were inside and not able to get rescued. Luckily, one of my two cats (Eloise’s brother Felix) was found and is now safe and sound. However, Eloise is more shy and has been harder to find. Please keep an eye out for her in foster city and nearby. We are doing everything we can to find her, thank you!

🚨 Please do this Search your property thoroughly, look in crawl spaces, in, under, behind your shed, under the porch, under the house, under the deck. Post on Nextdoor in Cat Owner's group, and in Lost and Found Pets group, post on Neighbors app, they're both good resources to notify the community you don't need a Ring camera to post on Neighbors. Petcolovelost 24Petconnect are good sources to search and post on, too, they also offer free flyers for download. Many animal shelters and animal control services post their animals on Pawboost Petcolovelost and 24PETCONNECT, but don't rely on online, go into the shelter to look through the cages, bring proof of ownership; Pictures, most recent vet bills

💖💖 💖💖 💖💖 You must continue to put out wet food before sunset nightly Where he escaped from the fire AND ALSO where there was a sighting - in order to confirm it was her ...so many nice people get sightings wrong so you must confirm by aiming a camera at wet food at that location and still at 'home'. This. battery operated camera will be delivered today - it's crucial: https://a.co/d/07KND9BT once sighted ON CAMERA - THEN you can plan to do a trap STAKEOUT where you set the trap and wait in your car and watch the trap every second it's SET. 💖💖 💖💖 💖💖

I'm so sorry Eloise is still lost. 💖💖 MAKE HUGE NEON POSTERS and /or a BILLBOARD To increase the chances that a neighbors calls for any possible sighting ; once there is a SIGHTING you must ADD a camera aimed at wet food at that spot to confirm it is YOUR cat - once confirmed THEN you can plan to humanely trap kitty - when you can WATCH the trap every single second.(STAKEOUT from a short distance) 💖💖 NEON POSTER/S In front of your home and near a busy intersection everyone tends to drive by in your neighborhood. the guardian of lost cat ‘Claude’ created 2 of these HUGE NEON POSTERS - 1 was placed in front of her residence and the other was placed at the nearest busy intersection...a neighbor noticed the poster and then spotted kitty a few days later and called the guardian. 💖💖 BILLBOARD Make a HUGE BillBoard using a TARP, duct tape and Blown up photo of kitty (kinkos or fedex) - to tie up at a busy intersection near you to ensure everyone in the neighborhood is aware to call you upon sighting. 💖💖Tip: Print 16”x20” of clear full body photo of your cat (crop the photo to remove as much background so it’s just your cat) Fedex Print stores charges $11 for one color copy, available overnight. Cut out your cat and glue/tape to each huge neon sign and for the Billboard. See Signs/Billboard Examples: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y1h2G8kgceEs_pdhEsn9O18_ZijKLDbG/view?usp=sharing

I’m so sorry your sweet kitty is missing. Have you already put out something with your scent like a dirty shirt or blanket that you use? Cats have stronger noses than dogs so it may help her find her way home. If she an indoor kitty she will be close to home hunkered down. She will find the smallest space to fit in if she’s scared. Get her favorite food and call her. She might not come out the first night out of fear. Try again the next day. It took one of my cats 3 days to come out of his hiding place. He could hear me but was too scared to move or meow. Please clink on this link she has helped find hundreds of missing cats bot indoor only abd indoor/outdoor at: www.happycatlady.com Also notify the Animal Care and Control in case they have her or received a call. Post on Nextdoor there are some really nice neighbors willing to help find lost pets. Also check if there’s a facebook group for your neighborhood. Knock on neighbors doors in case they’ve seen her including the other side of the block if it’s possible she went into another backyard with street access. Keep calling her at all hours especially the odd hours at night and early morning when it’s quiet. She might not be far away, just too scared to move if something’s spooked her. Cats are excellent at hiding in small spaces. Check with neighbors and post flyers in case someone has brought her inside. It’s recommended to use a camera/ring motion sensor thing to capture the cat eating with a trap, but only when you can watch the camera due to predators . I had two cats (different cats different decades) get out & both times they were super close to home just a few feet away, but scared stiff and chose to hunker down even though they could hear me. So keep looking & maybe knock in a couple doors in case kitty’s trapped. They do love to explore and sometimes that ends up with them being lost or trapped. Also check the surrounding buildings including their attics. Talk to the maintenance men. A while back someone found their cat after several weeks bcs kitty was in an attic of another building & the maintenance man found the cat. I hope she waltz’s in like nothings wrong.
