This is our Smelly girl! She ran away after my back door was left open. She’s very sweet and timid. She’s an indoor cat with great escape artist skills, but we’re worried about her.

Cats have a great since of smell and can smell familiar scents from a mile or more away. So put out some bedding that he used, or something that you have worn that has your scent. Then at night leave a window up enough that you can hear him if he makes a noise. Calling him may help. A guy who had read many suggestions, including trying to call the cat after it was dark, went a bit further and used a Speaker Phone to call his cat.
