Please try this, It works, I have done TNR and got my cat back after 3 wks doing this it works with indoor and outdoor cats: Get humane trap, buy or get from shelter. Place by your home usually by wall, bush etc at Dusk. cover with towel, use Tuna as bait. Catch another cat, release and keep trying. Cats feel safer at night, have small range they go, and can smell Tuna a block away.

Be careful of scammers targeting lost and found pages never give money up front to anyone who says they have your cat or can find him or pressure you to buy a device or Drone service and never agree to meet anyone alone. They now even use AI images of supposedly your cat, even posing as vet clinics or animal control agencies. No valid lead or agency requires money up front.

Getting a humane trap is very important part of finding a lost cat. The cats are typically close by but hiding and scared to come around. Set up a trap baited with smelly food outside the exit where he escaped. You can borrow a humane trap from a shelter like Hermitage or Pacc and they will show you how to use it. But never leave a trap unattended or set in extreme heat. Keep searching tho on foot under between behind and inside all areas around your property and your neighbors with a flashlight to reflect eyes and a treat bag to shake. Don't give up, be positive and proactive!

FOR INDOOR CATS: Between the hours of 11pm-2am walk around your block calling his name and shaking his favorite treat bag. Make sure to take a carrier with you as he will be scared. Contact homes around your block that have SHEDS or GARAGES. Kitties will seek dark places to hide and could get locked in. It’s extremely hot, and neighbors may not open their shed/garage daily/weekly trapping kitty with no food or water-a tragic death.
