You need to put up found dog signs immediately.Immediately times of the essence , this old school way still works , but the key is the timing. I did it twice in the last few months , and both dogs got home safely to the rightful owner. I put my signs up.The owner put their signs up.The dogs were home the next day.. not everyone is on social media or some people just can't even afford a phone.My brother doesn't even have a phone.. Grab 2 poster boards, colorful, fold them in half. Cut it and then cut it again. You'll have 8 squares. Use permanent marker, fill it out. Put your phone number on it. Put one up in the exact area. You found it in Put one in your front yard face in the street. Put some on the cross streets near there over a block or 2 and all up-and-down the main road in that area immediately immediately, grab hammer and nails quick, fast, cheap and easy, you can get everything you need at Dollar Tree for $5.

Bad people an dogfighters will be the first to inquire. They will have zero proof of ownership and will lie to you and try to trick you just so their dogs can it. Ask questions and questions their answers .. they watch these post every day.They know people are in a hurry and will not do their due diligence and making them prove ownership.They continuously get these bait dogs off these sites every day.They also will use women and children to do their dirty work.. Ask for their phone number and address and tell them you're gonna match it to their license , write it down and call their phone.. No proof no dog.. Owners will have pictures, paperwork or a vet reference.Y'all can go to together or call together.To verify ownership.Only the owner will have this information.
