Saw this dog and a buddy of its this morning around 0530 running around my property. It ran away as went to my workout and when I came home they were gone. I saw one scampering across the property of a neighbor in the afternoon and thought nothing of it. Then… we found this little one in our garage. It broke into our garage and found a safe place to sleep from the storm. We have been able to pet it but it has not eaten any food offered. The dog appears clean with well trimmed nails. Hopefully this is someone’s baby and you can come get him/her.

MelissaLynn Andrzejczak I so love what all you said and agree 💯..this is such a sweet, loving fur babe..the finder needs to do a found dog report with the animal shelter and do the 72 hour stray hold, while shelter looks for his owner..please keep us posted

Tammy Reena Emory Jones - shelters are overflowing. Some have even stopped accepting other pets because they don’t have the room. I think Misplaced Mutts might have small dogs. All of the shelters have wonderful pets just waiting. By adopting you are saving two dogs- the one you adopt and the one you create a space for by adopting. Go meet your new best friend. 🩷

This looks to be a well loved companion. It’s obviously homesick- since it’s not eating. People will come out of the woodwork offering to take it off your hands. I always tell them to go to a shelter and adopt a deserving animal. This is not a rehoming site. Notify local veterinary clinics, shelters and rescues. Talk with neighbors, your mailman, your delivery people. Maybe walk it around your neighborhood, knock on doors. Not everyone has social media, so maybe it belongs to an elderly person or someone who doesn’t get around well. Always get proof of ownership before releasing the animal to anyone claiming to be the owner. Thank you for protecting it. 💕
