13 month old, fairly small medium hair male cat. Very shy and afraid of people. Will run if confronted, but very gentle. Likely coming out at night to feed. Please check doorbell and security cams as he is probably hiding during the day.

Message from Owner

If anyone sees him, please contact us as he will likely run away if approached. He is very sweet but very shy and doesn’t have a lot of experience outdoors.

Create a scent box ASAP at the spot where your pet went missing. Put LOTS of your dirty laundry outside-hang some high to help your scent travel farther. Change this out often to keep the scent strong. Put it out in the shape of the wheel - so as your dog moves they can catch your scent. Dogs can smell their human’s urine 10-12 miles away. Leave some by the scent box. Don’t shout at them when you see them. They are traumatized from not being around familiar people & area. When you see them crouch down so they come to you. Don’t put out food - concentrate on getting your scent out there. It took me over 4 hrs to get to where my hubby rolled our truck and where my dog got lost. I did the scent box and got him back on the 3rd day. Glad you're posting! More FB locals lost and found pet groups would be helpful too!! I understand the feeling and am saying a prayer for you and this baby --cats and dogs--

Justin Royal Elswick You are wonderful! Also put a bit of foid out around 1-2 a.m. (cats’ daytime). Have a flashlight. Look under things, and walk up and down your block. Cats like to mate and fight all night. They can find food anywhere. Then they sleep all day. I know because I have walked late at night in hot weather, cats EVERYWHERE! Crazy critters :)

Melinda Mehrlich well he went missing while we were on vacation. Our House sitter’s accidentally left a door unlatched and it blew open while they were gone and he jumped out. He’s very afraid of strangers. He had a very loving home and we are still hopeful, we can recover him.
