Also - mention to mailman - years ago our cat got out and I mentioned it and mailman came back and said - down the street on porch

Go out late at night or pre-dawn when it's quiet. Call out name of kitty softly if kitty eats kibbles bring a bag and shake it. Kitty is probably close by check under bushes and under pouches. Don't give up, it may take several tries.. Good luck!
