Message from Owner

**Missing/Stolen cat** If anyone in the community can please assisting identifying a possible neighbor who may have took in a black and white tuxedo cat in recently these last couple days. They may have my cat and refuse to return him. they posted on the Brighton beach Brooklyn page recently and once I tried to reach out with the help of Lost and Found Pets in Brooklyn, New York and others they have deleted the post the very next morning and blocked me and my husband when we tried to claim him. Please let me know if we know anything at all. He went missing in the Brighton 7th area on 10/07/2026. Im not trying to villainize anyone but it doesn't sit right with me to post up a found pet in which it looked like it was in good faith of returning them and ghosting the person and offical group assisting to possibly reunite the cat with its family again. As for my cat: He is a neutured/fixed cat he is 16 years old, I've had him since a kitten so he is a senior adult cat now with a belly but a valuable part of our family and for my kids. thank you for all your attention.

Ask the Angels of Mercy and Animals to help you. Saint Gertrude too. They all help animals.

Nan U Cox unfortunately it seems they have my cat and is not willing to return him after posting his picture up as a found cat and is willing to keep him until he was claimed, then they removed it the next day when i reached out and was waiting on a reply AND blocked me. 😢 this is so mortifying....

First put out a big bowl of water IMMEDIATELY. Then, did you try the kitty litter trick? Take some litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You can also try a stinky can of sardines! Or if kitty is a cuddler, try putting an article of your clothing by your door. Ask your mail carrier to keep an eye out, too. Also check area garages, under car hoods, shelters, local rescue groups, Nextdoor and Pawboost for found kitties in and near your zip. Don’t give up. And post flyers around your neighborhood. Good luck! And please keep your kitty inside if you let it out!! Between coyotes, diseases, bad actors and cars, there are so many ways harm can come to them!!! Finally, if your kitty isn’t fixed, please spay/neuter!
