General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO CAT BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Oh, also if he's microchipped make sure to notify the chip company.

Even though it's been several months, keep checking with animal control at least once a week. It doesn't hurt to drop off informational Flyers at all the local veterinary offices and any animal rescues in your county. Also, keep posting on local social media groups for your neighborhood and City and keep up missing cat posters. I frequently hear of cats reunited with their owners after 6 months, one year, even several years. I hope he's back soon.

Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to him and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen him, and when they last did and which direction he headed if they have. If they have security cameras, video footage would help. Ask them if he might be trapped in their garage or shed. Check websites of your local / county animal shelters for their recent acquired cats. They often have a section you can view their photos and details. It may be good to go there in person as well. I hope he is found🙏🏻
