Tinks Singh thank you so much for offering to help — we really appreciate it. Sami has been sighted several times locally and we believe she is staying around The Gullet / nearby woodland. We have now been advised by a professional lost-dog recovery team not to disturb the area or actively search for her, as she is very nervous and currently in flight mode. We are also waiting for a trapping team to contact us, so I would like to coordinate any thermal drone search with them first rather than risk pushing her away. Your offer could be extremely useful though, especially if we lose track of her location. Would it be OK if I keep your details and contact you as soon as we have spoken to the trapping team? Thank you again — it means a lot to us.

A little update about Sami — and a huge thank you to everyone ❤️🐾 First of all, Simona and I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has shared our posts, messaged us, called us, stopped to tell us where Sami was seen, contacted the authorities, or simply kept an eye out for her. We have been overwhelmed by how many people in the local community have tried to help. People we have never met have taken time out of their day because they saw a frightened dog and wanted to make sure she was safe. Desborough College contacted us directly, local residents have sent us sightings, and several people have continued checking on us and asking for news. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you. ❤️ For those who don't know Sami's story, she is a rescue dog originally from Bulgaria. Before becoming part of our family, her life was very different from the one she has now. She spent time surviving without the security and stability that most family dogs grow up knowing. Eventually she was rescued and lived in a shelter before making the long journey to England to join us. When Sami arrived, she was extremely cautious. Trust doesn't come automatically to a dog that has learned that survival sometimes means relying only on herself. But little by little she began discovering something different — a home, a garden, regular meals, warmth, safety, another dog in the family, and people who love her enormously. She has made wonderful progress. But some instincts run very deep. Sami is incredibly intelligent, independent and resourceful. When she gets outside, she doesn't behave like a typical lost dog. She knows the local area remarkably well, avoids people when she feels uncertain, and can be extremely difficult to catch. At the moment she appears to be staying relatively close to home. We have had several confirmed sightings around Brownfield Gardens, the Gullet, Brunel Road, Desborough College and the nearby woodland/golf course area. In fact, judging by some of the sightings, Sami herself seems rather pleased with her unexpected adventure. 😅❤️ Unfortunately, her humans are considerably less enthusiastic about it. We are now working with professional lost-dog recovery services, the local dog team and PETtrac. Her microchip is fully registered to us and she has been officially marked as missing. Our priority now is not to frighten her or push her further away, but to bring her home calmly and safely. So once again, thank you. Thank you to the people who have shared her photograph. Thank you to everyone who has reported a sighting. Thank you to those who have contacted us directly. Thank you to Desborough College and everyone in the local community who has looked out for her. And thank you for caring about a dog you don't even know. Sami may currently think that the whole of Maidenhead is her personal playground, but she has a home waiting for her, a family who loves her, and a little four-legged friend waiting for his sister to come back. ❤️ We will bring her home. We will keep everyone updated. With all our gratitude, Dimitar & Simona ❤️🐾
