Message from Owner

Please let me know if you see my baby. He can’t hear nor see very well and he is about 16 years old. He gets tired and confused easily. Please my heart is breaking without my baby and I am so worried about him.

Senior dogs with vision and hearing impairments and mobility issues tend to follow the path of least resistance and will go downhill and towards water. Hopefully you've done a thorough search of the area, including ALL water sources as well as embankments he could have gone down and couldn't get back out of. Also any areas of thick brush that he could have gotten caught up in and couldn't get out. BIg neon Lost Dog posters at all intersections within a 3 mile radius of where he was lost to help get the word out to all who live in the area as well as those who may just be passing through and could see your dog. Everyone is not on social media so some people won't see your posts on Facebook or Nextdoor to even know your dog is missing. Finally, you may want to consider the services of a dog tracker. I know of 3 in NC. Balynda Brown with Bravo K911 in Raleigh, Erin Eaton with K9's On Call Missing Pet Services in Linden and Michelle Wilson with EPIC Animal Recovery in the western part of NC. All are reputable and good at what they do. I hope and pray Chester is found.

I thought I saw one that looked like this that was adopted out of a different county shelter. I’ll try to find the post.
