My 5-month-old orange and white male kitten has been missing since Sunday night. He is very special to me, and I’m extremely worried about him.

Please check your garages, sheds, backyards, under/behind outdoor furniture, containers, barrels, and other places where a small kitten could unexpectedly become trapped. He previously fell into a barrel and couldn't get out, so I’m especially worried that he may be stuck somewhere nearby without food or water. If you live in the neighborhood, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to carefully check your property. If you see him or hear a kitten crying, please contact me as soon as possible.

Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Have a tree out back? Check that too. Leave your garage door up a little so they can return home to a familiar place. Place a box outside with blankets or even the clothes you wore today so a cat can pick up the scent and make it home. If you are new to this area, have friends keep an eye out at your former home. And please: CHECK THE LOCAL SHELTERS DAILY I hope your kitty makes it back home safe very soon. Please make sure to get your cat chipped once they return, and PLEASE keep them indoors! PLEASE NEVER LOSE HOPE! LOOK UP! Cats are great climbers and looking for them on the ground only is limiting your search. Male wanderers tend to stay within a territory of about 150 acres, while females stay closer to home, roaming only about 40 acres. This means that your average male cat is likely to stay within 1500 feet of home, while your average female tends not to go much farther than 75 yards from your door. Be careful of the lost pet finders. Keep kittens inside home !!! Immediately (NOW)walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

If chipped make sure owner contact info is current with chip company. File online lost reports with shelters. Put something outside with the kitty's scent on it and call the cat's name at night when quiet and shake food container. Check in trees and keep checking shelters online and in person. Check in trees.
