Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Have a tree out back? Check that too. Leave your garage door up a little so they can return home to a familiar place. Place a box outside with blankets or even the clothes you wore today so a cat can pick up the scent and make it home. If you are new to this area, have friends keep an eye out at your former home.
