So let me get this straight you had your bird outside and the flight wings were not clipped. I’m just trying to make sense of why you would have it outside like that. I know it’s not helping the situation but every day more and more birds are disappearing because people are doing this very same thing and wondering why it happened.🤦🏼‍♀️

Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*

Vero Orchids we go out just before dusk and play the cockatiels flock call hoping we will hear a response. It’s been eight days now. I am very disheartened because even AI says that domestic cockatiels could not survive multiple days of 90° weather and daily thunderstorms due to the stress of it.

Vero Orchids. We did every bit of what you are suggesting. All of it. 😞😢 Canvassing our neighborhood, talking to neighbors, calling out, searching with binoculars, left the cage out and open for days… Unfortunately our birds wings were not clipped, and it was a very brisk wind that day so as soon as he launched himself up in the air, the wind grabbed him and took him out of sight. We could not see exactly what direction he flew in because it was towards the sun which was blinding that day. We’ve posted on Volusia County lost pets, we posted on paw boost which checks with all of the local animal shelters. We posted on neighborhood and we posted on Facebook.…
