Get lots of signs up, and post on neighbourhood/community groups as well as ‘Toronto Lost and Found Cats’. Also file a lost report Freedom With Writing Animal Services. Keep checking all groups and sites daily. A good list of things to do is on www.catsinthebag.org (click on the link itself). Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for her. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

Shared. Note that two days is a long time to a cat, this is longer. WHY did the tracker disconnect? She may have been injured or killed if that happened, do you have the location, if so check is you have not yet done so. Notify Richmond Hill Animal Services and check their website(s) for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies in garages, sheds, basement etc., as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. In case she is still nearby or comes around leave her used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door she left NOW and check late this evening. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

Give all details of your cat to the local postal sorting office and also to your own postman/postwoman. Posties are great as they go everywhere and see all. Good luck 🐈‍⬛

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.
