Grab THEIR cat box, rake small cardboard boxes and line it with fresh litter mixed with THEIRS. Put it outside your home in SEVERAL places around your property. Near entrances to the home and around the perimeter. CATS DO NOT LEAVE THE AREA — THEY STAY WITHIN 100 FT OF THE HOME. Check INSIDE thick bushes, it’s cold at night and these are great for keeping warm. I’m talking the THICK DENSE bushes, cats will break the branches inside and nestle up. Next, their favorite wet food, buy SEVERAL containers, inform your neighbors and place them in their bowls, one goes out front of the home near the front door, another near the side is the house and a couple more out back. Keep them on your property. Again warn you neighbors for walkers. Next, take the LARGEST house blanket you have from the living room and HANG IT OUTSIDE in the backyard. You want it in the sun so the smell of your family bakes into the surrounding wind. Lastly, every single day you need to be outside throughout the DAY calling for them. They will be sleeping or hiding but this will remind them you’re looking. Between midnight and 4 am they will start wandering around: RING CAMERAS WILL SPEAK to alert you if someone is moving in the area the camera is facing — TURN THIS FEATURE ON that way when your cat enters the zone you hear it on the camera and you go outside and grab the cat. Another thing I’ve done is taken a LARGE cardboard box and put blankets inside, food and a litter box. My cat would come back between 12am -4am nightly then I got him when I put the camera up. Good luck!!
