Message from Owner

Boris(Bobo) is an older but feisty former farm cat. He's pretty large and was currently going through summer trims and mat removal. He enjoys eating and rolling in dirt and leaves. He's a sweetie who purrs a lot when pet. He can be skeptical of people, dislikes dogs but not completely afraid of them, doesn't socialize with other cats very willingly. He's dearly missed by me and my children who traveled a hard road to get here to Oregon and make a home. Help us bring him home for good please. If spotted, approach slow and low speaking softly. He responds to Bobo. Thank you for any help and any information that leads to his return 💜

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.
