Message from Owner

I love him dearly. I have fed him for about 1 years & 1/2 as primary food / care source with neighbors on Linden. He has probably been in the block/ neighborhood of Idlewild Historic for maybe 3+ years. Please let me know of any sitings. If you find him injured, contact me or take to vet & if him, will repay & take over the cost. Please don't try to trap him, as he is afraid of people he does not know & had a traumatic experience with this before. Please check under, inside your garages, sheds, under cars etc as in several articles it's mentioned feral will hide if injured or afraid.

Hi Debra, I'm a neighbor on Linden who looks out for Sammy also. I last saw him probably around July 9 as well, he came for breakfast and looked great with his short summer coat. Haven't seen him since but that's not out of the ordinary, he doesn't visit us as much as he used to, but I typically see him every few weeks, will definitely look for him and post back here if I see him. We love him too, as we loved Rusty who we knew as Garfield.

Cats typically are less than a block away, and more likely to be within a street away

Abd I do plan to print & post flyers. I have knocked on doors, walked the streets calling for him, posted him on Next door then found the link fir Pawboost, called open vets in the Midtown area if someone brought him in injured with his description with my contact info.

Mary Gilchrist no, but he's not vicious/ aggressive. He's very skittish. I guess a better way to say it would be stray? I & my neighbors discovered him ~ 3 1/2 years ago. My car, that's now passed was his buddy & they would eat # my neighbors houses when I got sick & had to be cared fir by family. I had adopted his friend, my cat Rusty from the streets but Sam didn't follow until after Rusty's passing & then began eating @ my house with 2 other cats I was feeding. This has been going on for about a year & 1/2. He's been missing 9 days this AM. I , as well as neighbors have tried trapping & medicating him to take him to the vet for care & neutering. Tried to get him inside the house, bought car houses with straw for winter for warmth. He is loved. I am the only one able to pet him but I must be sitting down or him perched on a higher surface in order to do so. I know I am limited as well as anyone spotting him but I can notified of whereabouts, if he's eating, hanging out with someone's cats, injured/ @ the vet fir care & mostly if he's alive/ passed. Thank you for the concern & response. Sorry for such a long post.

Shared with prayers. Put up flyers with his picture on it and your phone number as not everyone is on social media. When you say feral that makes people afraid to try to help them. Is he approachable, does he allow you to touch him?
