This sweetheart was about to be surrendered to the 43rd Precinct yesterday in the morning and the couple was given my number. They agreed to hold her until we found placement and she’s now safe on a stray hold with a rescue. I posted her on PawBoost, Nextdoor, all my platforms, and many Bronx and surrounding area groups and the 43rd knows to call me if owners show up. She’s not spayed; no microchip; overgrown nails; has separation anxiety; barks when left alone; has allergies. If an owner shows up, we’ll have to return her but not without being given a wellness checkup, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She’s a very pretty pup, a Long-Haired Chi, with the sweetest disposition. If you know her, please DM me. Thank you.

Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the dog and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. Also your mail carrier may recognize them. Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for dogs lost in and near your zip code. And beware of bad actors!!!
