Message from Owner

6-year-old cat escaped / missing since 11:30am today (Fri, Jan 16th). He unfortunately did not have his collar on with my contact info but he is chipped. He’s very shy / scared of others so might run away if approached. If you see or find him please text or call me at.

Cat territory is about 5 houses in each direction. Ask your neighbors to open up their outbuildings.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. Here are some tips that helped me find my little guy when he got out. My kitty got out in the middle of winter for 11 days. I put flyers out everywhere and some very nice friends of a friend of mine saw my flyers and said he was living under their outside stairs. Flyers work. Also I was told to go out at night when it's quiet and call your kitty calmly. They are scared when outside even if it's your voice they hear so shouting or calling loudly isn't recommended. Also using a flashlight while looking in garages and bushes helps. Cats eyes glow when a light beams on them. Shaking treat bags can help too. Don't do a litterbox that can attract dangerous animals that could hurt Kitty. You can do a piece of dirty laundry of yours that they can be attached too. One more thing also is to get a humane trap from a local shelter and put the smelliest food inside. Believe it or not KFC chicken has helped attract cats more than any food lol. Also cameras can help also to see if your baby comes around when you're not home. I wish you the best of luck and hope. 💜💜💜💜🍀

Call and visit your shelters and pounds. Someone could have picked your baby up. Also they can note that your kitty is missing and if she is turned in they will call you. It also doesn't hurt to call them often just in case.

Put soft fishy cat food on your steps and check often. You can put hard food if it's cold

If you have a garage, leave the door up partway with food and water inside. Call the police to report him missing and to see if anyone reported him found. Flyers to neighbors. Go out several times during the night and call quietly for him. Don’t give up! Check the Humane Society website daily.

He is close to the house hunkered down with the cold. Not more than 1-2 houses either direction but likely yours. Here are some tips I like to share. Your kitty is likely close hiding (unless not fixed). Don’t rely on neighbors seeing your missing kitty posts. *Live traps work well but must be monitored hourly. Talk to all neighbors and physically check yourself all surrounding sheds, garages, under bushes and decks. If they come back, chip and clip if not already done. 🐱
