Maria L. Barrios the animal shelter is the Animal foundation at 655 North Mojave Rd. and they are a high shelter. This dog would likely be at risk if the owner doesn’t claim it within 72 hours. We in rescue are constantly trying to save shepherds and malinois from being euthanized because we see them constantly be given deadlines. The shelter is always at or over capacity and they because of the shear number of dogs there and not enough people to get them out if their kennels, most are cooped up 24/7. This is very hard for high energy dogs.

Dawn Tolentino if the dog goes to the animal shelter in Pecos, it will be safe, the owners can look through the website where animal shelter post the lost pets.

The dog was walking down on Owens and Sloan, he kept walking, I was driving by heading to work, and he slow the traffic, I stopped couple times trying to catch him, but he was scared, I lost a dog last year and grateful that we found him safe, I know that feeling of losing a pet, and how they easily get scared. Praying that he'll be reunited with his family soon. 🙏
