It is VERY important to take flyers door-to-door through your neighborhood. Mention if he is chipped. Offer a REWARD! A lot of people are not on social media and will not see the online posts. They NEED a flyer so they know to watch for him and call if seen! Do an online search "best ways to find a lost cat" for expert tips. Follow the information given by Susan, it is spot-on!

Check up in trees, under decks, under buildings with missing or broken foundation vent covers, on top of buildings and houses. Cats can get into places when they are afraid or being chased that they can not get out of. Check inside garages. NEVER put food nor a cats litter box outside. Both attract wild animals that may harm (or worse) your cat or you. Try putting a laundry basket full of your unwashed clothing outside near your door. Cats look for familiar and comforting smells. Go door to door in your neighborhood searching for your cat. Post photos in your neighborhood, inside grocery and pet supply stores. Go IN PERSON to local Animal Shelters. The nice people answering their phones will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by Animal Control. Call all local veterinary offices to check if someone has brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip or treated for an injury. Ask them to be on the lookout for your cat. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. I'm sure it would much rather be safe inside your home than lost outside.
