Message from Owner

Please help us find our missing kitty cat. She's only 2yrs old, not very big, sweet as can be. She never came in for breakfast Friday morning, which isn't unusual but then she didn't come eat dinner and I knew something was wrong. We have searched properties, the neighborhood, even in the trees in case she got too high and got scared to come down. She is very vocal, we literally meow back and forth as she just loves to respond and interact. The longer she's gone the worse my imagination gets on what could've happened to her. She has all her shots, she is fixed, and she is microchipped in case she gets turned into the shelters.

I appreciate anyone keeping their eyes out. She has been spotted on a ring cam in the area a few times in the wee hrs of the morning so it looks like I'll be camping out tonight. She hasn't traveled far so we think someone is feeding her or brought her in, but I'm not sure why someone would bring her in when we all know each other and everyone's animals in our immediate area and she is clearly a well taken care of cat. The other theory is that this is the furthest she has traveled before and maybe she forgot her way home but recognizes the house she keeps being spotted on camera at. I will camp out and update my post if she is brought home.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

You can purchase a trap from Tractor Supply or Home Depot or Amazon or see if you can borrow or rent one from a local rescue or TNR group. Put a piece of your clothing with your scent on it inside and some wet food and set the trap and cover it with a towel (they feel more secure hidden) and monitor it.🙏❣️ remember kitties are naturally nocturnal, so they will hide during the day and move at night time looking for a food source or trying to get home. This is when most of us are sleeping. That's why the trap is ideal. Monitor it very frequently and early in the morning. If you catch a critter go ahead and release it and wash the trap and reset. They leave a smell behind which may deter your baby from going in. If you catch another kitty, you can always take it to a local vet or shelter for a free chip check and you might be able to help return someone else's missing baby home.♥️ also get a big sign in the front yard so in case someone does have or sees this baby and does not see this post, they can contact the owner that way. Also get lots of signs posted in the neighborhood. Keep checking on your local county FB group pages. You can search the group by "cat" to see all the cat posts only💗

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕
