If Kee is normally an INSIDE cat… then he is definitely scared and hiding and you will need to go out at NIGHT with a flashlight and look for his “glowing” eyes. He is VERY CLOSE to your house… most likely in YOUR OWN YARD. They usually find a hiding spot very quickly and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees and check UNDER EVERYTHING in your yard first… under decks, under sheds, inside bushes, wood piles and storm drains. Then check your neighbors yards. They are very good at hiding. THE BEST TIME TO FIND HIM IS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND HIS EYES WILL “GLOW” BACK AT YOU. Kee is so scared, he will NOT respond to you calling him, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears to find him. When cats are suddenly outside, they go into "survival mode" and their entire personality changes. They will NOT wander. They find a hiding spot very close by and are very scared and will not come out for anyone... even their owners. I hope you find your fur-baby very soon!

Put his bed/blanket or an unwashed article of your clothing outside, the scent will could him find his way home.❗Experienced rescues advise NOT to use soiled cat litter as it can attract predators and aggressive cat❗ If he's indoor only kitty he's probably close but hiding. Check under the house, porches, and in sheds and garages, anywhere he may be trapped. Ask your neighbors to do the same. Ask them, too, tto check their Ring cameras. Search under bushes and shrubs with a flashlight, his eyes willreflect the light and you'll be able to see him. Best time to search is late night and early morning when it’s most quiet outside. Call his name softly and gently shake a treat bag. If you can, put up fliers throughout your neighborhood and hand them out to delivery drivers and report him as missing to local vets. Many people don’t use social media, so the shelters are often the first place they turn to. If you haven't already post him on the local Nextdoor. If he's chipped notify the chip company that he's lost and make sure your contact info is up to date.
