Message from Owner

Our sweet girl, Willow, has been missing since yesterday evening around 6:00 PM after she ran out of our front door. We have been searching for her and driving around the Salem Woods neighborhood, hoping and praying she finds her way home. 💔🐾 Willow is an indoor-only cat, so she may be frightened or unfamiliar with being outside. Please approach her gently if you see her, and let us know her location right away. Willow is my daughter’s emotional support cat, and we are heartbroken that she is missing. She means so much to our family, and we desperately want to bring her home safely. If you live in or around Salem Woods, please check your porches, under decks, bushes, garages, sheds, and other places where a scared little cat might hide. 🙏 If anyone has seen Willow or has any information, please message me immediately. Even a sighting could help us bring her home! Please share this post to help spread the word. Thank you so much for helping us find our girl! 🐾💗 PLEASE HELP US BRING WILLOW HOME! ❤️

https://www.facebook.com/groups/lostandfoundpetshamptonroads/ Post here! You will reach a lot of people through the Lost & Found Pets facebook page! Post flyers in your neighborhood. People notice flyers and some folks are not on social media. Give one to your mail carrier and take one to the animal shelter on Birdneck Road when you file your 'missing pet' report. Visit the shelter, in person (very important to go in person, you will recognize your kitty better than the staff will), and go every couple of days. The shelter is open seven days a week to search for missing pets. You can call for their hours of operation: 757-385-4444. If kitty scooted out the front door, leave it open enough for her to get back in, they often return the way they left! Sharing and praying your beautiful kitty is home safe very soon.

Leave an open access like an attached garage cracked about 8 inches 24/7. If the cat is left alone they will attempt to get back in when it’s dark, especially early am.
