His name is Boo Boo. He can say it, and some other words. Likes bananas. I can’t possibly say how heartbroken we are. We are hoping for a miracle.

I just wanted to thank the last few commenters for their generous comments and advice. I do agree it is important to think positive, and we try to do that. At this point, though, with no one reporting hearing or seeing Boo Boo anywhere in the neighborhood, or anywhere else for months, I think our one hope is, as one commenter suggested to me via email, that perhaps someone who has not seen the fliers or all the social media may be taking care of Boo Boo without knowing he is lost. That is why I have continued paying for Pawboost, etc., on the off chance that person, or someone who knows that person, might realize the parrot they have been feeding or caring for is Boo Boo. As I have said before, we will make returning Boo Boo worth anyone’s while, no questions asked. Believe me, I know this a long shot, but we love our little guy a lot, and we are not prepared to give up completely just yet. If, on the other hand, Boo Boo has somehow gotten in with a flock of parrots in LA, well then I don’t know how we would get him back, and am not sure that we should in any case. That might be the life for him. If he’s gone from this world, which I realize is very likely, then all of it is moot and we shall have to go on. But for those who think we should just forget it at this point, please understand that we shall be last, not first, to give him up.

Maybe make a dummy boo boo a replica of him and set it up in a tree near your home... Or maybe make a perch for it and set it out on your porch or in your yard maybe if he's around still he may see it and recognize his own and triy to befriend it

Jonathan Altman the best thing that you can do is to have a positive outlook because if you continue to think you'll never find your bird, you will never find your bird. I would like you to imagine finding your bird, seeing how happy you are when you guys are reunited and keep that image in your mind whenever you think about your bird. I want you to do this first thing in the morning, before you go to sleep at night and whenever you think about your bird, see yourself being reunited, the bird playing and doing all the antics that he usually does.

Jonathan Altman Jonathan Altman if you know what direct flight path he took off in …get up just at break of dawn and follow in a straight line that directing and call and listen and check every tree obstacle in that straight flight direction he took . And have an easy to recognize food visual ( banana etc) for him to see and make noise pouring water into a small water bowl with a water bottle or use two bottles to pour and make 💦 water sounds !
