Max is missing since 7/23 around 5 am. Went outside and never came back. He is indoor cat but enjoys being outside and usually hanging out in our backyard. He is very missed by his family.

Yana Van Tatenhove ❤️‍🩹. Yes I was thinking it’s probably a female and maybe around 6-8 months old but I’ve not been able to get anywhere close to it & the only photos I can snap without it running away are in the dark through a window with a screen so these are the best images I can capture once I edit the photos. I’ve never live trapped anything before but I think this might be my 1st ❤️‍🩹

Linda Zynger no it’s not Max. Even looks like a young female cat to me.

Found this mostly gray appearing tabby in Carmel (146th & Gray Rd) July 26. Not sure if the markings line up since I haven’t been able to catch a daytime picture yet.

Cat search suggestions https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QrEjkK8O2SwuVmPKZ0TE6aw85sRAxyKVtUn3608NT2s/mobilebasic?mibextid=Zxz2cZ Make sure to check under decks, sheds, porches, bushes, wood piles, etc. Use a flashlight to search during dusk and later when it is quieter. Her/his eyes will glow. If you can, sit out near where s/he escaped and have conversation in a normal tone, s/he may approach. It is important for her/him to hear your calm voice rather than the stress in your voice when you try to call loudly to her/him. Post signs in the immediate area- house cats do not normally go very far, 5-6 houses maybe. Put an item of your dirty laundry outside near where s/he escaped. Notify the shelters, post on local lost/found pages and Nextdoor. Know that cats often show up, even after a few weeks, as if nothing happened. So, keep looking and don’t give up! Good luck!

General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it (worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely.
