Message from Owner

My kitten Kevin is five months old and he is missing. He slipped out my front door when it was unexpectedly left open on September 22 around 5 AM. I have raised Kevin since he was a baby and I have his mother who is extremely distraught about him missing, as I am. We are desperate to bring Kevin home where he belongs and beg anyone who may have him or anyone who sees him to please please let me know so that I can get him back. We are offering a reward for his return or any information leading to his return as well. Please call or text 386–2 15–4846 or 386–6 31–3133 anytime, day or night.

CatSeye Irish Raine This is not only rude but ignorant. You dont know her nor do you have any idea whether shes looked for him or not. Youre assuming and then blasting based on zero information which is the epitome of stupid. I personally know her and not that she owes you information but she has looked endlessly for him. In addition to caring for many animals, whether under her care or just crossing her path, she cares for people too. This is a woman with a huge heart and you just were extremely mean to her when shes heart broken over her kitten. And here you sit on your high throne and claim YOURE heartbroken? You should think before you speak, words can hurt people.

Jeannie Lee Im leary of people like this who claim to love animals but have hardened hearts towards people. Dont worry about her or anyone else who brings you negativity. Keep your head up and keep looking for your kitten my friend. Haters gonna hate.

CatSeye Irish Raine are you serious right now?? You have no idea what I’ve been going through and how much I’ve been searching and not getting sleep bc I’m out searching in the middle of the night for him. You don’t know anything about me or what happened and how Kevin got out and you should really be ashamed of yourself for taking so much time out of your life to post such a nasty comment to someone who you have no idea about.

DID YOU GO OUT TO FIND HIM OR JUST ASK OTHERS TO DO IT FOR YOU. I AM HONEST, TRUTHFUL AND UNLESS A TOTAL CRIMINAL BROKE INTO YOUR HOME AND STOLE OR LET THIS PRECIOUS CAT OUTSIDE... THEN YOU HAVE ZERO BUSINESS HAVING A BLESSING SUCH AS ARE ANIMALS WHO ARE ANGELS THAT DEPEND ON GOOD CARING PEOPLE TO PRIORITIZE THEIR SAFETY, PROTECTING THEM IN EVERY WAY, INCLUDING NOT ALLOWING DOORS TO BE OPENED BY CHILDREN, PEOPLE WHO DO NOT PAY ATTENTION, HOLDING DOORS OPEN WHILE ANY ANIMALS ARE IN THE SAME AREA!! WITHOUT VISUAL CONFIRMATION OF WHERE THEY ARE. OPENING OVENS, COOKING ON OPEN FLAMES, GAS, STOVE TOPS, OPENING GARAGE DOORS LITERALLY ANYTHING THAT YOU AS AN ADULT SHOULD KNOW! AT 17 I WAS IN LOVE WITH ANIMALS. I WAS ALSO IGNORANT TO MANY THINGS THAT WERE OR COULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO ANIMALS. LIKE UNDER CABINETS IN BATH, KITCHEN, MISSING KICKPLATES OR HOLES ON CORNERS WHERE KITTENS AND CATS CAN CRAWL INTO. CARRIERS FOR CATS AT ALL TIMES. PICKING THEM UP AND CAREFULLY PUTTING THEM IN A SECURE BEDROOM WHERE THEY CAN BE SAFE AND VISUALLY LOCATED IN A SECOND. WHY. BECAUSE THEY DESERVE PEOPLE WHO CARE ENOUGH TO RESEARCH THE NEEDS OF ANIMALS. PLENTY OF EDUCATION TO LEARN FROM. CAT DADDY, OTHERS INCLUDING PROPER DIETS. ANIMALS SUFFER MORE THAN ANY OTHER LIVING BEINGS AND DESERVE NONE OF IT. THIS IS ALOT FOR A " LOST " POST. THERE ARE ONLY 2 THINGS THAT DESCRIBE THE SITUATION. 1. ACTUALLY LOST OR STOLEN DUE TO NO REAL FAULT OF YOUR OWN HOWEVER ALARMS, RING CAMERA, IS SAFER THAN NOT. CRIMINALS BREAKING INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT YOU KNOWING AT ALL. AND THEN PRAY THE CRIMINALS HAVE NOT KILLED THEM !!! ( ONLY KINDA LEGIT REASON) ALTHOUGH NO ONE I KNOW THAT HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN HAS FORGIVEN THEMSELVES REGARDLESS AND GRIEVES DAILY. AND WOULD HAVE DONE ANYTHING TO HAVE STOPPED IT!! 2. EXCUSES THAT DO NOT MEAN S#!T. WHY, BECAUSE YOU OPEN THE DOOR AND STOOD THERE? ALLOWED A KIDS TO OPEN ANY DOOR TO ANY THING. ALLOWED PEOPLE TO OPEN DOORS, CLOSE DOORS, LITERALLY DO ANYTHING THAT PUTS IN ANIMALS IN JEPORADY. IM ANGRY. IM AFRAID FOR THIS BABY. I LOVE THIS CAT. NOT MINE, BUT I GUARANTEE MY HEART IS BROKEN OVER HIM AND EVERY ANIMALS THAT ARE IN DANGER.. GET OUT AND FIND HIM. WALK AND CALL WITH A FLASHLIGHT AT DUSK AND DAWN, NIGHT IS DANGEROUS HE NEEDS HELP! HAVE YOU CALLED CONCERNED CITIZEN'S IN PORT ORANGE FOR ASSISTANCE WITH TRAPPING, ANYONE THAT COULD HELP TRAP. LOOK IN DITCHES, ROADS, BUSHES, GARAGES, KNOCK ON DOORS. HE MAY BE CLOSE. HE MAY BE GOD FORBID BEEN HIT. COYOTES ALL OVER. WHAT IN THE HECK. 100S OF THESE POSTS A DAY! THERE ARE NO WORDS OF ANGER, FRUSTRATION, FEAR, CONCERN THAT CAN POSSIBLY EXPRESS THE HEARTBREAK !!!! PEOPLE THAT REALLY CARE WILL UNDERSTAND THIS. PEOPLE WHO ONLY WANT TO APPEAR LIKE THEY CARE ARE THE ONES WHO ATTACK THE TRUTH IM PUTTING OUT HERE. AND THEY CAN GO TO ____. BECAUSE THE ONLY CONCERN AT THIS POINT IS ANIMALS IN NEED OF HELP.

Try following these steps. Please let neighbors know and put up Lost signs with your information. It costs about $20 for 15 signs to be printed at Office Depot/Max/Staples. Contact your local (assigned) shelters every day and visit Halifax humane society. Check these pages: https://www.volusia.org/services/public-protection/animal-services/lost-found.stml# A new and effective way to reunite a pet with its owner is using Petco Love Lost. It is a national lost-and-found pet database run by the nonprofit Petco Love Lost— and it's using AI to help reunite pet owners with their furry friends by added the information you have to search the database. Best Wishes in finding your baby safe & soon. Petco Love Lost https://petcolove.org/lost/signup/?utm_medium=referral Additionally, cat are usually close by. When cats escape they are usually afraid. Therefore, they normally, hunker down and hide very close to home. They will usually only venture out a short way if they don’t find a food source. Once they find food, they will normally stay in that area. Most cats are creatures of habit and will keep coming back to the place they find food. You need to search for the cat nightly using an LED flashlight. This is important!!! For BEST results, It must be a bright LED flashlight. 400 lumens or stronger. (This is VERY IMPORTANT!) You can get one at Harbor Freight or WalMart for about 15.00. A regular flashlight isn’t bright enough. It has to be LED and at least 400 lumens. Go out nightly. Especially later when it gets very quiet. 12 AM or later around 2 AM is a good time. That is when cats prowl. Also, before dawn. Look for glowing green eyes. All cats eyes will glow green at night when you use an LED flashlight. Sometimes you have to bend down to catch the glow of the eyes at a certain angle. You must look under cars, in bushes, street gutters, etc. Anywhere at all they can hide. If more than 2 days, do not call the cat’s name. That can spook them. Also, do not chase if seen. Many cats will go into survival mode or what’s called fight or flight mode and won’t even come to their owners. Get down on ground level and gently coax them to you patting the ground softly. Have some smelly canned food or shake a bag of treats. Have a carrier handy to put kitty into if it walks up to you. There’s a good possibility you might need to use a humane trap to catch your cat. Be consistent and do this nightly with the LED flashlight. I can’t stress this enough!! In a low predator area or one that is secure or monitored by a human: You can set up a feeding station with a trail cam on it. I would set that up by the area the cat got out. Or, the last place they were seen hanging out. If you have or can get a monitoring system, Set up a trail cam, it will give you the capability to see if the cat is coming to eat. If so, you can set a humane trap baited with Mackerel in brine. It’s sold by the canned tuna in stores. It’s in a large can usually with the blue label. Your cat also might come back home looking for a way to get back in. If you can leave a window open that would be good. Also, listen for the cats meow in case it’s trying to get back in at your front door. Many missing cats have been found this way and some missing for a long time.. best of luck. Best wishes and I hope you baby found safe soon. https://www.google.com/amp/s/tractive.com/blog/en/safety/missing-cat-what-to-do/amp
