Owners found. Hi everyone, thanks so much for the shares. We did find the owner but unfortunately in this situation there were 2 dogs that were loose and had come up to the dog park. they were extremely thirsty, dirty, nails had not been trimmed in a long time, covered in pee and so thin you could feel their ribcage, hips and spine. The owners claimed they had only been missing for an hour, and that the keep them on the patio and in a kennel saying that the little one has a lot of accidents, it seemed to be an extreme case of neglect. We argued with the owners, trying to keep them there so that apartment security could get involved but, they took them and denied neglecting their dogs. We ended up having to file a report on the situation to our apartment security and the humane society. So sometimes finding the owners doesn't always pan out to be the best situation for the dogs. These dogs were in such bad condition that we thought the had been loose for days, not an hour. In our situation we wished we had taken more pictures and video of both dogs condition to show how thin and thirty they were and document the wound, dirtness, nails and just how thin they both were. Just for anyone seeing this, I recommend immediately documenting the condition of the dog if you find one.
