Message from Finder

This large puppy has been wandering between Fruitvale BART and Brookdale park all week. He’s dog friendly but skittish towards people. Hope he can be brought home and fixed so he stops wandering.

Are you able to take him to OAS today? He needs to be scanned for a chip ASAP and reported there as found; they’re closed to the public today, but you CAN still take him in. It’s not only the law, but it’s also exactly where his humans will go to search for him and may already have. If you can’t take him yourself, you can call this specific number (510) 535-4884 and leave a detailed message for the animal officers at OAS, along with your call back #, and they’ll get back to you and can come pick him up from your house. Feel free to DM me if you need help getting him scanned or properly reporting him as found with Oakland Animal Services. Ps. Thanks for caring and for securing him, and please DO NOT hand this unfixed dog over to anyone trying to claim him through the internet (including Pawboost). For his safety, he needs to go to OAS to be claimed there and to ensure he’s vaxed, fixed, and chipped.
