Smokey's Owner Says

Thank you everyone who shared this post and helped in any way, shape, or form to bring Smokey home. She was 2 blocks from our home and my husband found her when looking for her last night. We are beyond relieved and so thankful to have our little void back.

Meagan Ethell put cat box outside ! she may have stayed in the under carriage of car . When it gets cooler good idea to slap side of hood just in case cats go where it’s warm . My cat took over a wk to come home in and area in Vegas that all the fences were 8 foot cinder block . Make flyers close to areas she maybe be in someone’s home ! hope shes home soon neuter and spay your animals. Toms roam females come home PG .also contact shelters in your area !

Diana Ellis it’s right on John young at a light next to a forest that you can’t get into because it’s swampy. We tried to go there last night, but the road is still just so loud. Not sure what we should do

Meagan Ethell, I responded on your other post, but when this happens, please understand that Smokey would likely have jumped out at the first stop your husband made. Is there a stop sign at the end of your street? If she jumped out at a place beyond her usual territory, Smokey may be frightened and not know how to get home. I would start by asking anyone in the vicinity of that first stop to check their security cameras -- and make sure they know she's lost. She may emerge in that area (probably after dark) looking for food, so ask also if anyone feeds cats outside or if they've seen a similar cat, if they're willing to set out food at dusk in a safe and quiet place. If she's too scared to return, you'll need to identify the area where she may be lost then setup a feeding station -- a place where she's comfortable emerging at night for food -- so you can set a trap, if necessary. Please keep us updated.
